The Client's revolution

Eversheds, a massive worldwide UK based law firm, has written a report about the future for law firms; "Law Firm of the 21st Century: the Client's Revolustion". (You can receive a copy of the report by registering at This report has been studied by the Times and it shows how law firms will change due to mainly four factors; the Legal Serices Act (see under Hot Topics for further info), globalization, technology and the increasing power of in-house general counsels. It suggests law firms need to put a much greater emphasis on efficiency and realizes that fees will have to come down and the hourly fee rate will become just one billing mechanism among many. Law firms, it is time to change.
