Welcome to the 10th annual VQ Forum on 17 October 2019
This year we celebrated our tenth anniversary of VQ Forum! Read the report from the day here: VQ Forum 2019 on the future of legal service
Welcome to a special day, where we will meet a mix of favorite speakers from the previous years and new ones, all with their visions for the next ten years. We will also take the opportunity to celebrate the anniversary with you all with a gala dinner with entertainment after the conference.
The agenda for the day is now available to download here: Agenda VQ Forum 2019
This year’s main theme is Law 2.0. We will focus on the demands of innovation from all aspects. Technology naturally plays an important role, but innovation is not simply a case of automating process, it is about creating new ways of working and new ways of delivering services, and building new kinds of organisations. Will the traditional law firm business model survive the changing expectations? What kind of competitors are already here and what else will come?
The potential disruption of the legal market will be explored, with case studies and examples of successful reinventions in practice. We will inter alia explore the concept of Un Law Firm, a completely new way to deliver the legal services by incorporating the value-add of all necessary providers including legal tech companies, law firms and individual lawyers, LPO’s and insourcing agencies.
We will also discuss the conflict between greater efficiency with billing targets, how to move away from the billable hour not just in relation to the client, but also in the internal organisation. How do you address questions such as training, bonus and appraisals from a new perspective? And when will AI become the gamechanger many of us expect?
Please note that this will be our last VQ Forum, as we have decided to end with a “Big Bang”. When we initiated the event ten years ago, it was an innovative way of highlighting the development of legal service from a strategic aspect and to create a new kind of platform where we could connect all people involved in this development, not only legal counsels and law firm partners but also HR and Legal Tech specialists etc. Now there are several easily accessible events around Europe regarding legal innovation and legal tech, and we will therefore, as from next year, consider new ways of being in the forefront of the development and highlighting ideas and supporting knowledge sharing around legal innovation.
Since this year will be both our tenth anniversary and our final event in this format we will make it something extra special, with inter alia a celebration dinner with entertainment after the conference, hosted in cooperation with Norstedts Juridik.
Please note that the number of delegates will be limited to 200 this year, to ensure the best experience and networking possibilities, so make sure to register well in advance!
Welcome!
