David Curle, Legal Content and Research Lead at Litera, invited Helena Hallgarn, VQ, to the podcast “LegalTech Matters” and in the latest episode they discussed the report “The Changing Lawyer”.
They discussed trends and findings from the regional reports, and other aspects of the European and global legal tech communities. Considering the urge for better tools and new services within the legal sector, lawyers need to collaborate with people with other skills and appreciate great technology skills. Therefore, one quote from the report was specifically mentioned: “One of the single biggest barriers to integration is the term ‘non-lawyer’”. That is not a good basis for respectful collaboration. They also discussed the need for further standardization in the legal sector.
