Welcome to VQ Knowledge and Strategy Forum on 4 October 2011

This one-day conference covers topics of interest for leadership, strategy, innovation and technology for the legal and professional services market. The programme has a strong focus on the changing legal landscape, how the dynamics of legal services will change in the future, how to leverage the internal knowledge and what strategies or technologies will improve service delivery.

This year we are proud to present Professor Richard Susskind as our key note speaker on his first public speaking engagement in Sweden. Richard Susskind is the guru of legal technology and visionary predictions for the future of the legal profession worldwide. He is an independent adviser to major professional firms and to national governments and holds law professorships at Gresham College in London and the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. Richard has written and edited numerous books, including "The Future of Law" and "The End of Lawyers?", and has written over 100 columns for The Times.

We are also most delighted to announce that Chris Bull, partner at Edge International and former chief executive of Osborne Clarke and former European chief operating officer at Integreon, will provide his insights at VQ Forum. Chris Bull is a highly regarded industry expert on operational and financial management and the application of technology to professional firms. He has been guest tutor at Nottingham Law School's MBA programme and an active member of the advisory boards for the Managing Partner's Forum, Legal Week's Strategic Technology Forum and FDLegal magazine.

VQ Forum will focus on Richard Susskind's and Chris Bull's predictions on the changing roles for the legal profession and the need for increased professionality and efficiciency by combining business development with technology. These views and insights will be followed by a distinguished panel of speakers, sharing their expericences and thoughts on the topic, such as Christer Danielsson (chair of the conference), Partner with Stockholm niche firm Danielsson & Englund, previously Partner of Gernandt & Danielsson for eight years, four of which as Managing Partner,  Anne Ramberg, Secretary General of the Swedish Bar Association, Stefan Erhag, Executive Partner at Delphi, Joakim Edoff, Executive Partner at Setterwalls, who previously held the position as Knowledge Manager for the firm, Björn Kristiansson, Partner at Hannes Snellman with special responsibility for the firm's KM activities and vast knowledge management experience from Linklaters and Vinge. Furthermore, Rob Ameerun, Founder of Legal IT Professionals, Björn Immerstrand, Key Account Manager at Millnet BI, and Mikael Arborelius, Engagement Manager at Acando and Founder of Booli Search, will provide their insights on change and innovation, social media for law firms and how understanding, communicating and using business data operatively can drive change.
